The Springfield Art Museum has added two works by Todd Lowery to its permanent collection: Dusk Upon The Shores (2023), acrylic on canvas, 44 × 66 in. (111 × 167 cm), and Aegeus Waits (2025), watercolor on Arches paper, 18 × 24 in. (46 × 61 cm).

The acquisition brings together two works that explore place, myth, experience, and memory in two distinct media and scales. Across these works, painting becomes a way of returning—not to a literal place, but to an experience of being in place. The artist is honored to have the works included in the museum’s permanent collection.
